ABOUT CAMP HERITAGE

For 60 years, life-changing moments have happened at our beautiful lake-side, wooded retreat. Summer campers, families, and adults have been awakened to a new experience with Jesus. Next to our beautiful lake; surrounded by the mighty leafy oaks, gorgeous red buds or flowering dogwoods; or in the clean air of one of our hiking trails, the call of Jesus reaches out to everyone.

Developed on nearly 200 acres, Camp Heritage is located on the Lake of the Ozarks. It’s an ideal location for water sports, including canoeing, fishing, swimming, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, and wake surfing. Our woods provide an amazing location for trail rides for our horsemanship classes. Our craft building comes to life each day in the summer with campers painting ceramics, designing crafts, and preparing rockets for launch.

Camp Heritage hosts an average of 90 campers per week. We have eight cabins available in our girls’ village and eight cabins available in our boys’ village. Our camper cabins each have four sets of bunk beds and a counselor bed. We hire approximately 50 staff for our summer camp program.

Camp Heritage is proud of its staff alumni. In addition to becoming church leaders, our staff have gone on to become teachers, pastors, university professors, doctors, nurses, dentists, archeologists, chefs, lawyers, veterinarians, airplane mechanics, law enforcement officers, architects, youth leaders, and much, much more. Perhaps most importantly, many have gone on to become amazing mommies and daddies!

Operated and supported by the Iowa-Missouri Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Camp Heritage rests in the beautiful Ozark mountains of southern Missouri. We are located just two hours from Kansas City, three hours from St. Louis, two hours from Columbia and an hour and a half from Springfield, Missouri.
